The Right Sunscreen for Your Skin at The Purest Solutions!
Protecting your skin from the sun's harmful UV rays is important, and one of the most effective ways to do so is using sunscreen. At The Purest Solutions, we offer the right sunscreen options for your skin. With our sun protection products, we protect your skin from the sun's harmful effects while helping to nourish and moisturize it. The product information for our Blemish Defense and Dry-Touch sunscreens includes a statement of 8 hours or more of protection against UVA/UVB rays and blue light. This statement does not mean that a single application will last all day; the application and reapplication times for each product are given in the usage steps below. Because no sunscreen provides 100% protection, do not neglect to avoid direct sun around midday on hot summer days.
Sunscreens and Types of Sun Protection
Sunscreens and sun protection products are used to protect the skin from the sun's harmful UV rays. To prevent sun-induced skin damage, reduce signs of premature aging and protect against skin cancer, it is important to use sunscreen regularly.
Sun protection products are also grouped by SPF factors and skin types. In addition, tinted sunscreens have recently become popular products.
What Is the Difference Between Tinted and Untinted Sunscreen?
Tinted sunscreen contains pigments in addition to protective filters. Blemish Defense Tinted Sunscreen Cream SPF 50 gives the skin a light tint with the iron oxide pigments in its formula (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499) and aims to even out skin tone. If you want heavier coverage, you can add your makeup on top. Since the product has no separate shade options, it is a good idea to test how well it matches your skin along the jawline first.
Untinted options add no color to the skin and are distinguished by their finish. Invisible SPF 50 aims for a dewy, radiant look, while Dry-Touch SPF 50 offers a matte finish for oily and combination skin. The label of Mineral Filter SPF 30 describes a light texture that leaves no white residue. On the protection side, Invisible aims for UVA/UVB protection according to its label; the labels of Dry-Touch, Blemish Defense, Stick SPF 50 and Mineral Filter SPF 30 state blue light protection in addition to UVA/UVB protection.
How to Use Sunscreen
Using sunscreen is very important, and when used correctly it provides effective protection. Here are the steps for how to use sunscreen:
- Application time: Apply sunscreen before going out in the sun. On the labels of Invisible, Dry-Touch, Blemish Defense and Stick SPF 50 this time is given as 30 minutes, and for Mineral Filter SPF 30 as 15 minutes.
- Amount: Use enough sunscreen to cover your skin completely and spread the product evenly over all your skin. A thin or patchy layer may not provide the protection stated on the label.
- Reapplication: A single application does not provide uninterrupted protection all day. According to the labels, Invisible, Dry-Touch and Blemish Defense are reapplied every 3 hours during the day, while Stick SPF 50 and Mineral Filter SPF 30 are reapplied every 2 hours. When you sweat, after swimming or after towel drying, reapply without waiting for this time; the label of Mineral Filter SPF 30 states this separately.
In What Order Are Sunscreen, Moisturizer and Makeup Applied?
In the morning routine, sunscreen comes after skincare products and before makeup. The labels of the Invisible and Dry-Touch sunscreens also say the product is applied as the last step of skincare.
- Cleanse and dry your skin.
- If you use one, apply your serum, followed by your moisturizer, and give it a short time to absorb into your skin.
- Spread the sunscreen evenly over all your skin. Check the label for how long you need to wait before going out in the sun.
- If you will wear makeup, start once the sunscreen has settled into the skin.
Do not apply sunscreen mixed with foundation or any other makeup product. The product labels do not envision such use; the instruction is to spread the sunscreen on its own and evenly over all the skin. Because a mixture dilutes the product, the protection level stated on the label may not be reached. If light tone-evening is enough for you, the tinted Blemish Defense can take the place of makeup at this step.
How Should You Choose a Sunscreen?
There are several factors to consider when choosing sunscreen. Here are the points you need to know about how to choose a sunscreen:
- Choosing SPF (Sun Protection Factor): The SPF value indicates how well a sunscreen protects the skin against UVB rays. In general, at least SPF 30 is preferred for daily use, but ideally SPF 50. If the skin will be exposed to the sun for a long time or is sensitive, a higher SPF value may be preferred.
- Broad-Spectrum Protection: It is important that sun protection products protect against both UVA and UVB rays. Therefore, choose a product with broad-spectrum protection. Look for the terms "UVA" and "UVB" on the label, or prefer products that include the words "broad spectrum".
- Suitability for Skin Type: Choose your sunscreen with your skin type in mind. If you have oily or acne-prone skin, prefer oil-free or lightweight formulas. If you have dry or sensitive skin, you can choose products with moisturizing properties.
Sunscreen for Oily Skin – Mattifying Sunscreen Cream SPF 50
It aims to provide UV and blue light protection by controlling sebum production, without making the skin oily. With its active ingredients, it protects the skin barrier and moisture balance and soothes the skin, helping it look dewy, radiant and soft. You can explore other options suited to your skin type in the oily skin category.
Sunscreen for Dry Skin – Daily Intense Moisturizer SPF 50+
It aims to provide UV protection without making the skin oily. You can explore other options suited to your skin type in the dry skin category. With the support of its moisturizing actives, it maintains the skin's moisture balance, provides moisture balance in three different layers of skin and keeps it up over the long term. It helps skin look dewy, radiant and soft.
Sunscreen for Skin with Dark Spots – Anti-Spot and Skin Tone Evening Tinted Sunscreen Cream SPF 50
The formula, supported by Arbutin and Niacinamide, aims to prevent the formation of dark spots and correct uneven skin tone, and to protect the skin from UVA/UVB and blue light while caring for wrinkles. With its active ingredients it helps support the skin barrier, deeply moisturizes while giving a natural glow, and provides a tone that blends with the skin. To compare the relevant products, you can browse the anti-spot care category.
In What Order Are Sunscreen, Moisturizer and Makeup Applied?
The order of application in morning care is cleansing, serum, moisturizer, sunscreen and makeup. After waiting for the serum and moisturizer you use to settle into the skin, apply the sunscreen in an even layer. Move on to the makeup step once the sunscreen has settled into the skin. The usage instructions of The Purest Solutions Invisible and Dry-Touch sunscreens also place sunscreen as the last step of care.
Do not apply sunscreen by mixing it with foundation, BB cream or moisturizer in your palm. The brand's category description recommends using the products in separate layers; mixing can dilute the sunscreen and affect reaching the stated protection level. On days when you want light color evening, you can use the tinted Blemish Defense sunscreen and, if you need, apply makeup over it.
The instructions for Blemish Defense, Invisible and Dry-Touch SPF 50 state applying 30 minutes before going out in the sun. This does not mean you must wait 30 minutes before moving on to makeup; it refers to the application time before sun exposure.
What Is the Difference Between Tinted and Untinted Sunscreen?
Tinted sunscreens contain pigments that give the skin color in addition to protective filters. Untinted options, on the other hand, provide sun protection and care without tone-evening coverage. When choosing, you can consider the finish you want and how well it matches your skin tone.

The Purest Solutions sunscreens support daily sun care with product-specific SPF and UVA/UVB protection features. Maintaining protection requires a sufficient amount and regular reapplication; a single application does not provide uninterrupted protection all day. Reapply your sunscreen about every two hours outdoors, and after swimming or sweating. Support sun protection with shade, a hat and protective clothing.
